Nationally, growth reached 4.6%. The UK average house price was £268,000 for the year to December 2024.

Rochford had the biggest Essex price growth. Houses there averaged £403,000 last year, up 4.9%, almost £19,000 per home. Brentwood’s growth was next at 4.5%. Homes there now average £508,000.

Southend-on-Sea saw prices fall. Home prices dropped 1.5%, about £5,000.
