Barnstaple Photo Club wins the Western Counties photo competition, first win ever!
The competition happens every year and shows off the best photos. Judges said this year was tough as photos showed great skill and creativity. Barnstaple’s photos grabbed everyone’s attention.
Andy Francis spoke about the club’s win. He said it’s thanks to the members’ hard work and feels the win is for Barnstaple too. The club is so excited about it.
Their winning photos showed lots of things, including pretty landscapes and animal pictures. Judges liked how the pictures told stories.
The club started way back in 1920. It helps people learn photography, and both beginners and pros can join. They have events and speakers all year, so anyone can improve skills there.
Andy said the win is inspiring and proves what passion can do. He hopes they will become even better, as the club aims to improve photography.
They get to go to a national contest, the UK Championships. The club will show off winning photos online and have other good works from members there too.
