A Caernarfon man in a balaclava, armed with weapons, terrorized neighbors, leading to jail time and a restraining order.

A judge sentenced Williams, 43 and diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, to ten months in jail. The incident happened near his home in Cae Bold, Caernarfon, early on December 21st.
Around 1:50 AM, he knocked aggressively on a door. A neighbor saw him with a baseball bat fifteen minutes later, and he was later seen holding a machete, which made her highly anxious.
Another person saw him swinging a machete while also carrying a piece of wood. Another witness saw him looking through a peephole while wearing a balaclava. Police arrived and quickly arrested Williams.
The victim stated the event worsened her anxiety, and she now fears revenge from his friends. Her doctor diagnosed her with PTSD after the incident, and she feels unsafe and needs to move.
Another neighbor made many complaints about Williams and now feels jumpy and struggles with sleep. Furthermore, a visiting witness is too scared to go back.
Authorities are preparing an injunction about the property. Williams’ lawyer said he had a hard childhood, starting smoking at six years old, and drinking heavily at sixteen. A crash also caused him memory loss.
He takes medicine for paranoid schizophrenia. The judge said he made violent threats, using three weapons and inflicting serious fear. The judge issued a five-year restraining order, preventing Williams from contacting witnesses or entering Cae Bold.
