An 18-year-old on a school trip gave birth and allegedly threw her baby from a Paris hotel window. Investigation ongoing.

It happened at the Ibis Style hotel, located in Paris’s 20th district; the baby was thrown from the second floor. Police and ambulances arrived quickly, rushing the baby to a hospital.
The baby’s mother is reportedly an 18-year-old American visiting France with a group. Sadly, the baby died at the hospital, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The teenager was on a school trip from America to France, unexpectedly going into labor, a report stated.
Police are investigating the event. The teenager, hospitalized after giving birth, is also in custody, as police suspect she might have denied her pregnancy.
The Paris prosecutor said they are investigating for “homicide of a minor.” Witnesses reported that the baby still had an umbilical cord attached when found.
An unnamed source mentioned that the investigation continues. They want to ascertain the exact circumstances, unsure if the pregnancy was concealed and police and a magistrate have visited the crime scene.
