A one-year-old is in critical condition after being pulled from a hot tub in Phoenix. Police are investigating.

Firefighters went to a home near 19th Avenue and Greenway Parkway after reports of a drowning on Sunday morning. They got there around 11:30 a.m.
The baby was already out of the hot tub. Someone nearby was doing CPR on him.
Paramedics then took him to a hospital. His condition was very critical. No one knows how long he was underwater. Phoenix police are investigating what happened.
The CDC says drowning is a big danger and the top cause of death for young kids. This is for kids one to four years old in the US. America has about 4,000 fatal drownings each year. The UK has about 400 yearly.
A girl from Australia also drowned in Bali in January. She was only three years old. The family was on vacation and staying at a villa.
Janaa Al Easawi was found in the pool at her villa. Her father and another man tried to save her. They gave her CPR, but it was too late.
Her family thought their pool gate was locked. They want others to learn from their loss. Secure pools to protect children, they urge.
