Karwan Muhammad, 30, and Ahmad Arshad, 25, got arrested. This happened on August 20th last year in Cardiff. Police raided a house, finding the door open. They saw Muhammad coming from a room. Arshad was in a bedroom upstairs.
Police arrested both men and found lots of cannabis there. The cannabis included flowering heads and resin. The cannabis weighed 7.7kg in total. Some was bagged in wholesale sizes, while other bags held 3.5 grams. The street value ranged from £49,740 to £75,840.
Police also found two scales and £555 cash. Both men had fingerprints on this cash. Officers seized their phones and messages showed cannabis dealing. Arshad messaged Muhammad about cannabis deliveries. They had lists of addresses and money amounts.
Muhammad’s phone held messages about selling cocaine, ketamine, and LSD. Someone told him where to deliver these drugs.
Muhammad had no fixed address, and Arshad lived on Claude Road. Both admitted supplying cannabis. Muhammad also admitted supplying cocaine, ketamine, LSD, and MDMA.
The court learned they failed to get asylum. They lacked work or UK benefits. They slept in a garden tent and received food, cannabis, and cash. They had little power in the drug operation.
The judge gave Muhammad three years and four months in jail. Arshad received 18 weeks in prison.
