Three folks got arrested. It’s about a Scot who went missing long ago.

Robert Scott Clive vanished in England over twenty years ago. People knew him as Scott Clive. He disappeared in North Shields on October 10, 2002, after a night out. He had moved from Stranraer ten months before. Scott was 30 when he went missing and worked as a laborer.

Police think Scott is dead, though they never found his body. Detectives now treat it as murder.

Two men, in their 40s and 50s, and one woman, in her 40s, got arrested on Saturday and are still in custody. Officers are searching a street in North Shields, specifically Coronation Street, as part of their investigation.

A house on that street has been taped off since Tuesday. Police have set up a tent there and are asking neighbors questions.

The current resident, who moved in after 2002, had to relocate. Mark Atherton leads the police team and wants to give Scott’s family answers. He believes some people have crucial info they haven’t shared yet.

Scott’s family, who lived in Dumfries and Galloway, reported him missing in 2002 after not hearing from him in days. In 2008, a witness said they saw a man matching Scott’s description enter the River Tyne one day after Scott disappeared.

They searched the river but found nothing. The case had a new twist last year when police arrested a 49-year-old man they suspected of murder.

Mark Atherton asks for help again: Did you live on Coronation Street back then? Do you know anything about Scott’s night out? Please, tell the police what you know, as all information could be important.
