Woman arrested for drunk driving after an argument with her partner on the way home from a family party.

She stopped on Broom Leys Road near her home and argued with her partner. Police noticed something was wrong: her eyes were red, and she slurred words. Police asked if she drove the car, and she admitted that she had.
She failed a roadside breath test, which showed she had too much alcohol. Police took her to the station. She gave a reading of 85, while the legal limit is only 35 microgrammes per breath.
Abigail Wright defended Dumitru, who is 42 years old. She drove after a family party, a five-minute journey, and admitted her guilt to police, worrying ever since.
Wright said Dumitru has two kids and works at KFC part-time. A driving ban is hard because she must walk her kids everywhere, then walk thirty minutes to work.
Consequently, the court banned her for 20 months. She must pay a £138 fine, £85 court costs, and a £55 surcharge for victims.
