Mia McQuillin, 18, identified after a newborn baby was allegedly thrown from a Paris hotel room; the infant did not survive.

French authorities named Mia in connection to an incident that happened at a Paris hotel. They believe Mia experienced pregnancy denial. She wrapped her newborn in a sheet and allegedly threw the baby.
Witnesses reported the event around 6 AM Monday outside a budget hotel on rue des Réglises in Paris’ 20th arrondissement.
The baby did not survive the fall of about 30 feet. Medics rushed the baby to a hospital, but sadly, they passed away. Police arrested Mia at the same hospital, where she was treated after giving birth.
Mia faces a charge of “child homicide,” and an investigation is underway, according to a source. The investigation aims to determine the exact circumstances and whether pregnancy denial played a role.
Mia grew up in Bend, Oregon, which is known for skiing and outdoor activities and sits on the Deschutes River. Social media shows her baking, having fun with family. Mia’s grandfather said he knew nothing about this.
Authorities reported Mia threw her newborn, who still had the umbilical cord. The street was closed for more than five hours. The hotel is a budget hotel located off Rue de la Croix Saint-Simon, and rooms cost about £80.
