Stokesley firefighters went to the scene. The air ambulance landed in a field close by as a precaution. Both drivers were checked by medical staff. Firefighters made the area safe and secured the cars.

A fire brigade spokesperson described the event as a head-on crash. The crew stabilized the vehicles, preventing further movement.

Neither driver was trapped inside. Paramedics examined both drivers and released them at the scene. The air ambulance visit was just a precaution.
