People really like Adel, a place in Leeds. They say it feels like a small village. The area is friendly and has a nice vibe.

Adel is north of Leeds city center and features parks, a church, and two schools. You also find cafes, bars, and restaurants there. Golden Acre Park is a big highlight for locals.

Locals appreciate both the people and location. It’s near the countryside and the city, which is convenient.

In 2021, more than 21,000 people lived there. About 23% were over 65, while around 20.6% were under 18. The remaining 56.3% were between 18 and 64.

Craig, who grew up in Adel, spoke about its vibe. Adel is upscale and feels like a village, and he knows many people there. He said everyone is very friendly.

He enjoys cycling to a café through Golden Acre Park. Craig wants to live in Adel with his family, but the homes are too small or expensive.

Maisie Simkins, who is 19, also grew up there. She said Adel is mainly for those under 18 or older, and she feels like there are not too many her age. She said that Adel is nice and green.

It’s friendly and feels secluded, and it’s near Leeds, so you get nature and city life.

Mandy Abrahamson owns a hair salon on Otley Road and she has been there for about 13 years. She finds Adel to be a very friendly place and says it has a strong community.

She stated there’s something for everyone with sports and nature, including Golden Acre Park. It does not matter how old you are, she believes.

Tarun Singh manages the Dastaan curry house after moving to Adel from India. He said that he loves the calmness of the area and the peace of mind it gives him.

He felt more crowded in India, now he relaxes at Golden Acre Park.

Joe Socket runs The Foundation café and bar. He knows many of his customers well, and they know him by his first name, too. He said it feels very personal.
