Two sisters died in Aberdeen after going missing near the River Dee. Their family thanked people for donating money, with a fundraiser exceeding its original target of £1,500 for Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, who were 32 years old and part of triplets. They also had a brother.

The twins disappeared on January 7 after they were last seen walking towards Victoria Bridge on Market Street. Their bodies were found in the river on January 31 and people raised £7,870 for the Huszti family. The organizer thanked everyone for their kindness in recent weeks.

Anita Vida thanked those who donated and offered support, saying it made a big difference. The online fundraiser stayed open until March 4, but she withdrew the funds early to help the family. After processing fees were deducted, the family received nearly £7,200.

An earlier post shared news of the sisters’ loss. Henrietta and Eliza Huszti went missing on January 7 and were sadly discovered on January 31 in the River Dee. The family is heartbroken from this tragic loss and the fundraiser will help ease their financial burden.

Their death certificates state they died by drowning. The police launched a large search operation after the sisters were reported missing by their landlord. They had sent a text saying they would not return on the night they disappeared.

The police ended river searches three weeks before the bodies surfaced again and stated they found no evidence of anything suspicious. Miklos Huszti, the sisters’ 63-year-old father, believes someone lured them to the river and does not think it was suicide.

He mentioned a strange text from Henrietta’s phone sent to their landlady early on January 7. Police found Eliza’s phone and belongings at their flat and he believes someone cruelly killed them at the waterfront.

He hadn’t spoken to his daughters for twelve years, since he separated from their mother. The sisters moved to Scotland and stayed in touch with their brother regularly, speaking on New Year’s Eve. They called their mother three days before disappearing, and she had no concerns.
