Emergency crews rushed to the school, where sixty firefighters worked to put out the blaze. The fire was on the first floor, but luckily, no one got hurt.

Aberdeen City Council stated the school will stay closed to pupils and staff all week. They plan to provide updates as they become available.
The fire service arrived at Riverview Drive, Dyce, at 11:56 pm on Tuesday. The fire affected the first floor of the three-story building.
The council says Dyce Academy will remain closed because the headteacher and council staff can’t yet enter to assess the full damage. Fire damage seems limited to a few rooms, but there is smoke and water damage.
Repair work is required before reopening. Council staff assume the school is closed this week and will review it Thursday. The headteacher will update everyone Friday, sharing information on school Google Classrooms to allow online lessons.
