Train fire halted rail services. Passengers evacuated, no injuries reported. Delays to Aberdeen and Edinburgh routes.

Pictures show a ScotRail train on fire near the Tay Rail Bridge. Passengers had to get off the train while smoke was coming from it on the bridge. Fire crews are still putting out the fire, and good news, no one got hurt.
The fire closed the train line towards Edinburgh. As a result, trains from Aberdeen to Glasgow and Edinburgh faced issues. Thankfully, trains to Glasgow are running again now. However, trains from Edinburgh to Aberdeen are still stopped.
If you’re affected, you can use your train ticket on other transport options. Edinburgh Trams accept them, as does Stagecoach East between Dundee and Inverkeithing. Citylink also accepts them between Perth and Aberdeen. Firefighters initially received the call around 10:44 AM.
The fire was located on a train carriage. Three fire trucks were sent to put it out, and crews are helping with the train evacuation. ScotRail reported that the line is closed due to an issue, resulting in delays for trains to Aberdeen. Glasgow to Aberdeen trains also experienced delays.
The latest update confirms that Glasgow trains are working now. Unfortunately, Edinburgh to Aberdeen trains are still not running. London North Eastern Railway, which runs trains through Dundee, has stated that some of their trains might be late or even cancelled due to this fire.
