Fraser, an Aberdeen schoolboy conquering cancer, dreams of Disneyland Paris. A fundraiser aims to make his wish a reality.

They flew him to Glasgow’s children’s hospital within an hour of the diagnosis. He then began intense treatment right away.
Fraser endured chemotherapy for two and a half years, experiencing long hospital stays and painful side effects. But he kept smiling. In December 2024, Fraser rang the bell, marking the end of his treatment.
His mum Louise remembers the scary diagnosis. Doctors took an X-ray and said he might have cancer. Louise flew with him to Glasgow, recalling that she thought it couldn’t be true.
Fraser showed great strength during treatment. Steroids made him gain weight at first. Then he lost his hair and felt unwell. He even had to be tube-fed for eighteen months.
He was smiling, even when weak, and joked with the nurses always. He faced more than some adults do, yet nothing bothered him. One particularly difficult time was when Fraser got sepsis.
Sepsis is a life-threatening infection. He was hospitalized for six weeks, and Louise wondered if he would survive. Then, he recovered suddenly, and after two and a half years, he rang the bell in 2024.
Louise cried, but Fraser told her to stop, laughing. It felt like a weight lifted, and the time passed quickly. Now he is almost eight, and she thought, “We did it!”
Family friend Gemma started a GoFundMe to send Fraser and his family to Disneyland. She was moved by his story. Gemma knew they had a tough time with Fraser getting sick, and both parents had to quit work. They deserve something special.
Gemma saw Fraser’s story and felt very emotional so she decided to start a fundraiser. Gemma is amazed by people’s generosity and how much people want to help. It’s also about cancer awareness. Hopefully, the trip makes happy memories. They deserve fun after hospital stays.
Fraser wanted Disneyland for his Make-A-Wish. Now the community is helping, and Louise says they are very grateful. Louise tells other parents to keep going. There’s light at the end of the tunnel. Try to stay strong.
