A man died in a Leigh flat fire. The fire occurred yesterday, February 24. The man’s name was Abdul Subooh Jadran. He was 56 years old.

The fire happened on Railway Road, above the Cha Cha Gee PoundPlus shop. Firefighters arrived at 3:45 AM, with police assistance arriving around 4:00 AM.

Police found Mr. Jadran dead. Detectives started an investigation right away, but have not arrested anyone. The investigation remains in its initial phase.

Mr. Jadran directed Cha Cha Gee Poundplus, and his address was the same as the shop. He came from Pakistan originally, and also had ties to Germany.

People knew Mr. Jadran as Uncle Gee or Cha Cha Gee. He was well-liked in the local area. Police are still investigating the fire’s cause.
