A teen got arrested after a crash on the A555 near Heald Green. The accident happened Wednesday night and involved two cars: a grey Ford Kuga and a red Volkswagen Polo.

Police first saw the Ford near Wilmslow around 9 PM. The Ford sped off, and police briefly followed it but lost sight of the car. Later, the Ford crashed at the A555 and Styal Road junction.

Three people left the Ford and ran away after the crash. The Polo had two occupants, both 19 years old. A man and a woman were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police arrested a 19-year-old man from Wythenshawe near the crash site. He was arrested for dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and suspicion of attempted theft. He also didn’t stop and refused a test.

The man is currently in custody, and police want to identify the other two individuals. The road was closed during the investigation and reopened around 6 AM Thursday after police dealt with the crash.
