Roadworks at the Glan Conwy interchange will cause a nine mile diversion starting February 24 for four nights.

Road markings and traffic signs need work. The project takes four nights from February 24. Work happens between 8 PM and 6 AM each night.
There will be lane closures and a slip road closure. The westbound off-slip will fully close, and drivers will need to make a U-turn. The next junction will handle the detour.
Llandudno Junction traffic faces a long detour. The A547 will be partly closed, so use Deganwy and Llandudno instead. This adds about nine miles to the trip.
Traffic Wales says they scheduled overnight work because February sees less traffic usually. This minimizes disruptions for drivers.
Expect lane closures on interchange slip roads from Feb 24-28. The westbound off-slip closes fully, from Feb 25-28, and the A547 entrance is shut from Feb 26-28.
In 2020, the roundabout had improvements. This caused five months of delays, but they added better paths for walkers and bikes back then. Energy-efficient street lights came later.
The Welsh Government reported smaller queues afterward. More people used the route by bike or foot also, and usage increased by sixty-seven percent.
