Cornwall drivers, listen up! Roadwork means the A38 will close at night. National Highways will resurface the A38 between Turfdown and Bodmin Parkway. They will also do maintenance on another A38 section, stretching from Turfdown Cross to Twelvewoods roundabout.

The first project lasts from March 2 to March 20. Crews will work weeknights only, from 8:30 PM to 6:00 AM. During the day and weekends, the road stays open. The second project runs from March 17 to March 22, with weeknight closures from 8:30 PM to 6:00 AM too. Daytime travel will be normal.

Detours will be clearly marked. Bodmin Parkway Station will stay accessible. Expect traffic control during closure times, specifically the nights of March 3-12 to guide drivers to the station safely, excluding the weekend.

March 13, 14, and 17 are different due to safety concerns on a tight section. Drivers needing Bodmin Parkway should use the Lostwithiel detour. Buses from Turfdown will still go to Bodmin Parkway without a detour.

From March 18 to 22, drivers will be guided to the station again. Properties within the closed area will still have access. Plan your trips and give yourself extra travel time. Bad weather might delay the work, potentially extending the scheduled dates.
