A crash closed the A2 between Gravesend and Medway, causing delays. Diversions are in place.

Multiple vehicles crashed, and police, paramedics, and fire crews are there. They closed part of the A2, causing a lot of traffic.
Expect at least 20-minute delays, with traffic going back towards Pepper Hill. They said to add extra time to your trip, and you might need a new route.
They set up a detour route; just follow the ‘Solid Circle’ signs. Take the A2 exit for Gravesend (East), and at the roundabout, take the second exit, then the first exit onto Valley Drive.
Keep going on Valley Drive for two miles until you see a T-junction with traffic lights. Turn right onto the B261 Old Road East and continue to the A226 roundabout. Take the fourth exit, heading east towards Rochester.
Stay on the A226 for 3.5 miles past Higham until you reach the A289 junction. Non-motorway traffic takes the second and first exits, then rejoins the A2. Motorway traffic takes the second exit at both roundabouts, joining the A289 and then the M2 to continue your trip coastbound.
