Pensioner Eileen Kelly, 72, speaks of terror after a gang threatened her at knifepoint during a home invasion in Oldham.

Eileen Kelly, age 72, had just woken up when the men entered her house near Crompton Street. They demanded money and drugs from her, even threatening to kill her.
The men searched upstairs and then took her phone. CCTV footage captured the men leaving, after which the police were called to help.
Eileen said it really affected her and explained they had huge knives. She said she was on her phone when two men rushed in with masks, with another man going upstairs right away.
They threatened to use the knives on her, and Eileen asked what they were doing. She thought it might be a joke at first. She tried to stand up to them, telling them to just stab her then, but they pushed her back onto the sofa. They kept asking about drugs and money.
Eileen lives alone and takes prescription drugs only, wondering why they picked her. She cannot leave the house easily, and the phone was her family communication.
Her granddaughter, Donna, added cameras to her house. Donna said the police were on the case, and a knife injured Eileen’s hand during this event.
Donna said that her grandma was terrified. The men dragged her from the sofa, insisting to know where the money and drugs were and then threatening to kill her.
Eileen is disabled and struggles to walk, sleeping downstairs because her husband passed away upstairs. She was in shock and didn’t say much; they don’t know why this happened, and the family is very angry about it. Donna thinks it was a mistake and feels Eileen is harmless and cannot defend herself.
Greater Manchester Police knew about the burglary, which occurred at 10:13 a.m. Police confirmed that knives threatened Eileen. A police spokesperson said officers went to Woodend Street; thankfully, nobody got hurt, and no one has been arrested yet. They said to call 101 with information, and the crime number is 926.
