A 16-year-old boy was arrested after an electric bike robbery in Syston where knives were used.

The teen walked with the black and red bike. They were on Melton Road around 4 PM that Friday. The suspects came up to them at that time. Police say the robbers wanted the bike. The victim didn’t hand it over right away. The robbers threatened him and his friend with knives. So, they left the bike and ran.
Leicestershire Police asked for witnesses Monday, February 10th, and shared a photo of the stolen bike. They hope someone can recognize it. Police said they arrested someone about this. A police person stated a 16-year-old got arrested, suspected of robbery, and was released on bail while they keep looking into it.
