Police in Warrington seized £10k in counterfeit money and cannabis during a raid, arresting and later releasing three suspects.

The raid followed reports of drug use. Police found three people inside the house, including an 18-year-old man and woman, and a 30-year-old man.
Officers discovered cannabis and cannabis plants. They located about 20 cannabis plants, and bags contained a large amount of cannabis. Police also seized fake money, totaling around £10,000.
All three people came from Warrington. Police arrested them for multiple crimes involving growing and dealing cannabis, and possessing counterfeit money. All three were later let go while the investigation is ongoing.
PC Murphy led the raid on the address. Police act on local residents’ concerns to protect communities from drug dealing and prevent related crimes.
The police stopped fake cash from circulating. Distributing fake notes is against the law and often funds more serious, organized crime. Illegal drugs negatively impact the community, so police continue to fight such harmful behavior.
