A 31-year-old woman appeared in court charged with causing serious harm after a stabbing in Sunderland early Sunday.
Police arrested a woman and a man. The woman is in her thirties, and the man is in his twenties. Police later released the man on bail while they continue investigating the incident.
Christie Peel, 31, faces charges of causing serious harm and possessing a weapon. Her court date is April 7th, and she will appear at Newcastle Crown Court.
Police received a call at 3:25 AM on Sunday reporting an assault on Alliance Place. Officers arrived and found a woman with stab wounds who needed hospital care.
