Three teenagers from Newport are charged after an assault. Armed police responded to the incident and made arrests.

Two 19-year-old men and a 17-year-old boy, all from Newport, got arrested. The police have them in custody while their inquiry is ongoing.
A 36-year-old man got hurt that Saturday on Caerleon Road around 12:55 AM. He has now left the hospital.
Police conducted early morning searches on March 5 at Constable Drive and Duckpool Road. Specialist officers with guns were nearby, taking precautions during these searches. They also made an arrest on Llanvair Road later.
A police spokesperson, Detective Superintendent Philip O’Connell, spoke about the incident on March 5. He said violence is rare in Gwent and thanked the community for their support. Police still want more information and ask that you call them if you know anything at all.
