The council approved a new food place. It will be in Smallthorne, on Ford Green Road. The spot used to be Fuji’s dessert shop. Sonia Yousefikhah applied for permission to change it.

She plans to sell smash burgers and oven-baked meals. Pizza and potato wedges will be on the menu. They will also serve milkshakes and cakes as desserts.

A neighbor worried about traffic safety. They also mentioned litter and too many takeaways. The council planners did not agree with these worries. Joanne Dale wrote a report suggesting approval.

The plan needs a vent pipe at the back of the building. It will be black to blend in. Police, road safety, and health officers had no issues. The police think closing at 11 PM is okay. It should help to reduce public disturbances.

They wanted better soundproofing for residents upstairs. Health officers are now happy with the plan. The soundproofing must be installed first. The vent is not near windows. So, it should not bother residents.

The council thinks there are not too many takeaways nearby. The police agree on this location.
