Unsolved 2022 Digbeth murder of Jinming Zhang, linked to a brothel, is spotlighted on BBC’s Forensics The Real CSI.

The show delves into Jinming Zhang’s murder, which occurred in Digbeth on February 9, 2022. He was 41 and allegedly ran a brothel. Someone stabbed him in a flat on Moseley Street, and police suspect it was a robbery.
Police released CCTV footage of a suspect, who walked away calmly from the scene. The suspect is about 5ft 5in and has a very unique walk. However, they haven’t been found after three years. DNA from the scene didn’t match anything in the national database.
Detectives are still confused by the case and hope people will share information now. Forensic officers will discuss the case on the BBC show, which airs tonight at 9pm on BBC Two.
Investigator Kay Thompson stated that no case ever truly closes, and police will follow any new leads. They hope someone will come forward even after all this time, as their information could be vital to solving the case. Crimestoppers offers a £20,000 reward; if you know anything, contact the police.
